One of the best beer festivals in the country is back! Great Taste of the Midwest, the second longest-running craft beer festival in North America, hits Olin Park in Madison on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 1–6 PM.
Every year, around 200 breweries and brewpubs roll in, pouring more than 1,400 beers — all against a gorgeous lakeside backdrop. Whether you’re after a bold IPA, a crisp lager, or a gluten-free brew, there’s something here to make your tastebuds dance.

Lottery entries open online Monday, May 5 at 10 AM and close Friday, May 9 at 10 PM at lottery.greattaste.org. No rush — entries are randomly selected, so pour yourself a beer and chill.
Hot tip: We think you should get in line early at Delta Beer Lab on Sunday, May 4th to snag your tickets! The line starts forming around 6:00 AM, wristbands are handed out at 7:00 AM, and the first few in line get early access to the taproom.
