Spotlight on the Arts – Celebrate Creativity in Verona on March 1!
Verona is about to come alive with art! On Saturday, March 1, from 2-5 PM, you’re invited to Spotlight on the Arts, a city-wide event that brings together an incredible lineup of painters, potters, photographers, performers, and more. Spread across multiple locations, this free event is the perfect way to connect with local artists, witness live demonstrations, and explore the creativity thriving in our community.
🎨 Explore local talent at these locations:
Linen & Clove (1-5 PM) – Meet Kathy King, a potter and painter who infuses her clay creations with storytelling.
Blossom Pet Salon (2-5 PM) – Enjoy pet photography by Shalicia Johnson, inspired by her beloved dog, Arrow.
Century School Park (2-5 PM) – Experience street art by Audifax, featuring her new work, Imagination.
ART House 360 (2-5 PM) – Tour the historic 1917 schoolhouse, now a hub for creativity and community.
Crimson Artist Collective (2-5 PM) – Watch a live pottery demonstration and browse handcrafted ceramic pieces.
Alice Good Specialty Coffee (2-5 PM) – See portrait artist Green Goodies and her Garden of 1000 Faces project.
The Sow’s Ear (2-5 PM) – Discover sustainable textile designs by Maday, a dedicated artist and environmental advocate.
The Toys of Our Lives (2-5 PM) – Meet Julie Sabo, an animator and illustrator bringing stories to life.
Toot & Kate’s Wine Bar (3-5 PM) – Connect with Asiah Doyle, a talented actor and writer with a rich theater background.

Student Art Gallery (2-5 PM, Fine Arts Entrance at Door 10) – Featuring work from Art Foundations, Drawing, Digital Media, and Ceramics students.
Spring Play: Clue: On Stage (2 PM, VAHS Performing Arts Center) – A hilarious murder mystery comedy based on the classic board game and film. Tickets: $16 for adults, $12 for students (purchase here).
